Charter

Henix builds defensive security software and studies how systems fail, so that the people responsible for those systems can find and fix weaknesses before someone else does.

Rules every Henix tool follows

  • Authorization first. Tools that touch a system or network require the user to own it or have explicit permission, and make that requirement visible.
  • Non-destructive by default. Checks observe and report. They do not exploit, modify or disrupt.
  • Bounded scope. Targets are validated before any connection, and private or out-of-scope addresses are refused rather than silently tested.
  • Honest results. A tool reports what it observed and what it could not check. Automated checks cannot prove that a system is secure, and Henix tools do not claim to.
  • Auditability. Where actions matter, they are logged so they can be reviewed later.
